UI development for Coca-Cola's next generation of Freestyle machine. This walkthrough was created to give a visual representation of how the UI would work before any coding took place.

The walkthrough starts with the 'attract mode', a looping video that plays on idle machines to entice customers with beverage choices and brand messaging. It also subtly educates the user on how the UI works.

We continue to a customer engaging with the machine, cycling through options, selecting a drink and pouring, and the machine returning to the attract mode.

Concepting, animation and interaction design.

I put together a storyboard for the client to understand how the video would play. I had to imitate the UI of the machine, but heighten it so it would appear more attractive to a potential user.

Coca-Cola were quite flexible in how the UI would be portrayed. They preferred more natural movement and more pleasing visuals than the machine would actually provide, if it meant clearer understanding of how to use the product.
